We are hearing constantly that saving the banks will save the world. But the corporates are experiencing another perspective and they are left outside. Is it a correct assumption that the banks will save us?
- Banks want larger share of the wallet than they are interested to contribute in funding
- Banks become increasingly protectionist by government guarantees
- What markets will the banks leave (geographies, industries and products)?
- There is a lack of transparency in banks' reporting for us to truly evaluate the counterparty risks
- With which banks shall we spend our time to build up long term relationships? Who will be there for the future?
- How will the new regulation affect the corporates? The Basel Framework has not been a hit
