Every Bank Wants the Whole Wallet

We are hearing constantly that saving the banks will save the world. But the corporates are experiencing another perspective and they are left outside. Is it a correct assumption that the banks will save us?
  • Banks want larger share of the wallet than they are interested to contribute in funding
  • Banks become increasingly protectionist by government guarantees
  • What markets will the banks leave (geographies, industries and products)?
  • There is a lack of transparency in banks' reporting for us to truly evaluate the counterparty risks
  • With which banks shall we spend our time to build up long term relationships? Who will be there for the future?
  • How will the new regulation affect the corporates? The Basel Framework has not been a hit
